It will provide fully comprehensive insurance cover for learner drivers who own the car they are learning to drive in.

The vehicle named on the policy documents must be owned and registered in the learner drivers name.

Policies can be initially taken out for 1, 2 or 3 months starting at £119.84 a month. And can be renewed as many times as required, for any cover period length.

We cannot insure everybody under this policy and the following conditions and exclusions apply: vehicles over £10,000 in value, vehicles above insurance group 23, vehicles over 8 years old and certain postcodes are excluded.

The insured person must hold a current UK provisional driving licence but not have any motoring convictions or fault motor claims. The insured's main income must not come from professional sport or the entertainment industry and the insured must have been a UK resident for more than 2 years.

The policy covers the learner driver in the insured car whilst driving under the supervision of someone who holds a current full UK/EU/EEA Driving Licence, over 30 years of age and held a full UK/EU/EEA Driving Licence for a minimum of 3 years and has been a resident in the United Kingdom for a minimum of 2 years or a current qualified Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) Examiner or current DVSA registered qualified Approved or Potential Driving Instructor (ADI/PDI).

Our simple application process will check your postcode, the car insurance group, and make sure you are eligible for the policy.

Once you pass your DVSA Practical Driving Test all cover under the policy will cease, although cover is provided for the accompanying driver to return the car to your home or its normal garaging address at that time. We will also return any unused premium calculated at a proportional daily rate depending on how long the policy has been in force, less a £20 administration fee
